Is Cheaper Car Insurance Worse?

Does the old adage, "you get what you pay for" apply to car insurance as well?

I generally throw caution to the wind regarding that one, and figure in these economic times the popular opinion will sway to my view that you ought to shop around to find the best deal which means pay less and get more.

I have noticed some very persuasive commercials regarding car insurance. Some are just humourous, yet memorable. They all get me to seriously think, "Now why do the companies want my attenton so badly?" There has got to be funds comming from somewhere to generate those advertisements, so are they really all about saving me money?

When I originally bought car insurance I was not so scrupulous. I was young and easily persuaded to believe that Gieco would save me the most money because their advertisements said so. Then, as I suppose was felt by many I felt a total shock when the All-state commercial aired about how it was less expensive than Geico. I was really in disbelief because all the while I had assumed that All-state spent too much money on advertisements, and they were just catering to a different more priveledged audience, While with geico, I was happy with my car rental discounts, etc.

I could ignore all the propoganda regarding saving money eah year in buying the right car insurance, because it did not apply to me. however, I learned that in fact I could get the same thing or better for less. I was moved to notice now.

Among the better commercials are e-surance, which I really buy into the whole "instant-ness" of quote, buy, print.

Then there are the advertisements about progressive insurance which aren't really about convincing me to buy their insurance, but I am highly amused and think back on how cool it is that if they do not have the lowest price, they will find it for you, but I have not tried this yet, have you? Are you one of the customers listed as having saved alot or are named Dave? Well, one thing is certain, Issurance for my vehicle is legislated, not leaving me a choice.

If I choose to drive, I must insure, so who really has the best deal? There has got to be a way to tell, but I am not the one to tell you.I can only warn you about the influence advertisers are seeking to trap you with, as with religions though, which one is best? meaning less expensive but high quality? I lean towards All-state.
